Oaks on the River is such a gem, not just in Darien but in the Golden Isles. The Inn itself along with the views are worth the visit. But what sets Oaks apart is there staff and the relaxation that comes with your visit. Being greeted upon arrival by Bhavish, Milton and Ryleigh you are immediately relaxed and know your vacation has begun. I can not say enough of the culinary team. Happy hour from 4 - 6 while enjoying the company of others that know about this Inn. Each meal is exquisite. My wife would argue the spa is world class. If you are planning a trip to the Golden Isles do yourself a favor and visit Oaks on The River. You will not find a more relaxing boutique experience.

This is such a wonderful place to stay. top notch accommodations, the staff were all attentive. Bhavish and his staff were all great. The Oak restaurant inside the hotel is very nice, the food is good and the staff are wonderful. we will definitely be back and highly recommend. short drive to Jekyll and St Simmons and Brunswick. a few other restaurants and bars within walking distance. It is a quite place and we loved it.

The happy hour was delicious and great portion size. The hotel was very pretty, the pool a great temp. Loved the river view. Also very close to 95 and the new bucees.

My wife and recently spent one night here to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We loved it. The pool was amazing. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The river views from the balcony are fantastic. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My wife and I can’t wait to get back!

Unexpected Gem Well appointed, comfortable hotel with very good restaurant. Staff was friendly and went out of the way to be helpful. Good location on the river with nice views of the river and marsh.

Great boutique hotel on the Darien River. This boutique hotel is a diamond in the rough. Tucked on the Darien River it provides a quiet but delightful experience in the quaint town of Darien which has no traffic light. There is a daily happy hour which takes you back to the 80’s with the low prices for cocktails, wine, beer and appetizers. The staff is professional and eager to make sure your stay is nothing short of exceptional.

Wonderful Place to stay Our stay here was pleasant and so relaxing and enjoyable. Bhavish and the staff made it that way. they were all so polite, professional and welcoming. always addressed us by our last name and were so attentive and if we needed anything they made sure we had it. the room was huge and comfortable very clean and nicely decorated. we can't wait to go back. all the staff in the restaurant were amazing and the food was good too. Thank you for making our stay so incredible.

Hidden Treasure! At the risk of revealing this hidden treasure and having it "over touristed," we can't say enough great things about Oaks on the River. The Executive Suite provided us plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy "lazy time"; the entire hotel and restaurant staff were friendly, professional and helpful; the dining room and bar had great food (we had three meals there and it was consistently great food and service) and Housekeeping runs a tight ship! Our room was spotless and serviced each day. We will return soon.

Celebrating our anniversary at Oaks on the River This was a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. This is a beautiful hotel on the river in Darien. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our room with a balcony overlooking the river. The pool was great. The location was perfect. We could walk to the Darien Waterfront Park from the hotel and it was a short drive to the Fort King George Historic Site.

Oaks on the River a must go! The hotel was beautiful and staff super accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and very nice. The food and service were outstanding. Location was fantastic and quaint.

Hidden Gem Wonderful hidden gem! Staff is super friendly, and the on-site restaurant serves great food. The town of Darien is close enough for a beach day at St. Simmons. Truly a lovely spot. A Boutique Hotel with a small town vibe.

Great stay, recommend Had a Great stay, always recommend to anyone staying in the area or traveling. Food is great, has that Georgia charm. Thursday night prime rib night fills the restaurant as well.
